Before any important purchase, you need to gather as much information as possible. To make it easier for you to get it, we have compiled the most popular questions from our customers about barrel sauna Canada.
What material are the barrel saunas made of?
Our barrel saunas are built with cedarwood as standard. They are treated with an oil that protects the wood from weathering on the outside. Check out our blog for an article on why we choose cedar to make our saunas. Also, we will be happy to advise you by phone or email on the difference between the different wood options.
How does the payment work?
After you choose the sauna option that suits you and fill out an application form, our manager will contact you. We will discuss the possible ways of payment and choose the best option for you. Often our clients pay part of the price upfront, especially if they want to make changes to an existing sauna model.
What foundation do I need to prepare for the sauna?
Depending on the size and equipment, the sauna weighs between 500kg (the smallest configurations) and 1,200kg (the most popular 4m barrel sauna). Therefore, the ground should be either heavily compacted (ideally gravel) or concreted.
How long is my warranty?
The standard warranty period is one year.
Who do I contact in case of problems or questions if the sauna does not work?
You can contact us by phone or email, and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
I already have a sauna heater, and I just want to buy the sauna. Is that possible?
You are welcome to choose any sauna from our assortment, and we are ready to work with individual customer requests. Contact us via contact form or email with your exact ideas, and we will send you an offer.
What equipment is available, and how much does it cost?
There are no limits to your idea of an exclusive and individual portable sauna. We are happy to receive custom design orders for saunas. Some of the equipment that our customers have always chosen so far are:
- LED lighting
- Mirrored film for the panoramic window
- Shower with water tank in the anteroom
If you have your wishes that you would like us to install, you are welcome to contact us about it, and we will check the possibility.
Do I need a permit to install the sauna?
This depends on your city/municipality and which building permit is required. It is best to contact your local building authority and check whether a license is required. Generally, most cities do not require such a permit, which is an advantage of a portable sauna barrel.
Which heater (electric or wood) suits me?
If you want to heat your sauna fast, a wood-burning stove is excellent and much faster than an electric stove. We prefer wood-burning stoves because of the nostalgic and traditional feeling of a sauna that you get best with a wood stove.
You also don’t need a power connection to use a wood-burning stove. You only need a power connection from the socket to use the lighting in the sauna.
